Damansara City (future development)

Situated in the heart of Pusat Bandar Damansara, the RM2.5 billion Damansara City is envisaged to be an integrated commercial development encompassing a boutique retail mall, office towers, lifestyle luxury condominiums (DC Residence), and a 5-star boutique hotel reflecting the theme "A City to Live, Work, Rest and Play". The project is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2011.


The developer, Guocoland (part of local conglomerate Hong Leong Group), is expected to open a Guoman Hotel here, which will be KL's first Thistle-branded hotel. Thistle hotels in Britain are already owned by Guocoland.

S P Setia's 1NIH land on Jalan Bangsar (future development)

Leading property developer S P Setia Bhd is looking to create a cultural hub, alongside with other developments on land in Bangsar that currently houses five National Institute of Health agencies. The cultural hub will consist of a museum, a people's library and a performing arts centre. Earlier, it was reported that S P Setia is in talks with the government to be given a 40.22-acre land in exchange for building the 1NIH integrated health and research complexes for the Ministry of Health (MoH) on 55.33 acres of land it owns in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.

Bangsar City, or Bangsar Business Park (conceptual proposal only)

Conceptualised as an integrated development, Bangsar City is to be sited at the former Unilever factory site, adjacent to Dataran Maybank and Bangsar LRT station. According to The Edge report in January 2010, the owner of the vacant land is in advanced negotiations with several government-linked agencies to dispose or jointly develop the land. The site and surrounding parcels are currently zoned as "mixed commercial and industry" with a low density plot ratio of 2 due to traffic and roads.
